#BakingOutsidetheBox | This Low Carb Blender Sherbet recipe is sweet, cold and creamy and has ZERO carbs!

This low carb  blender sherbet is sure to make any weary January dieter smile.

Many years ago, my darling hairdresser, Chris, told me about this cold treat.  It’s been in my diet arsenal ever since.

It’s cold, sweet and creamy.  It is a perfect get-you-through-the-afternoon snack.  It is quite filling.  In fact it is so filling that you might be tempted to use it as a meal replacement, but save it for  snack time  because  it has Z-E-R-O carbs and a mere 90 calories!   If I’m really hungry before bed I may indulge in front of the TV with a mugful of low carb blender sherbet. (SHH!  Don’t tell!  –Though I don’t know why…It’s not cheating — it just feels like it. 🙂 )

With so few ingredients, it only takes a minute or two to whip up.  I usually use orange flavor sugar-free Jello and sometimes I add a packet of sweetener or a few drops of non-caloric flavorings.  It tastes like a Dreamsicle.  I also like the sugar-free strawberry flavor gelatin.   And I use sugar-free pineapple flavor Jello when I can find it, along with a few drops of coconut & rum flavoring.  Changing it up with flavorings and sweeteners may add a carb or two, so if you are keeping track, be sure to glance at the nutritional information on the package of your add-in.

I’m so pleased to be back after my ‘long winter’s nap’ away from the computer for the holidays.  I’m happy to get back here as I’ve got about a million projects buzzing in my head that I want to share with you this year.  I’ve already got some fun things in the works.  Let’s just keep our collective fingers crossed so I can remember to take pictures as I create new crafty things and recipes to share. 😛   Later this month I will have a big announcement for all my readers.  So stay tuned.

I wish all of you success with your New Year’s resolutions and even those dreams that haven’t made it onto a page yet.  I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.  — Laura

The amount in the box I use makes 4 servings. About two cups total, which is around 472 grams, I think.

1 T Heavy whipping cream, is T for teaspoon, tablespoon or something else?

The capital T is for tablespoon. Tablespoon can also be expressed as Tbl. Teaspoon is: tsp. Hope that helps!

Thanks Donna, Yes, those measurements can be expressed that way. They also are properly expressed as Tbl or Tblsp for Tablespoon and tsp for teaspoon. The latter examples are preferred by the recipe plugin, probably for Google recognition. If I had my way, it would be your way. 😉

Yes. I think it would be worth a try. I would use more than a Tablespoon, though.

This is delicious! I made mine with black cherry jell-o instead and I did not need to add any sweetener to it as the jell-o and vanilla were more than enough. I have found a new dessert to help me along in my keto journey. Thank you for the recipe.
