Remove labels off of glass bottles. This crazy little hack to remove labels is so easy, you'll wonder why you've never tried it before.

As you know I’ve been on a quest to remove labels from jars and other containers this week.  I’ve been very pleased with the results from the Great Goo Be Gone experiment.  It works well and has made my life a bit thriftier and easier already.

But I found this crazy little hack in a thread of comments on Rosy Blu Handmade as I was researching how to get the ‘sticky’ off of stuff.  It’s so obvious that I bet, like me, you’ll wonder why you’ve never tried to remove a labels this way before

!  So easy, all you really need are pictures:

(Get ready to smack your forehead and say ‘duh’.)

Yup.  Use a blow dryer!

The top label came off easily with just a little warm air and coaxing.  I couldn’t believe it!  It was just too easy.

The second label took more time and I admit to some impatience, excitement on my part, so I didn’t get it off all in one piece.  The last bit of label came off as I rinsed the bottle with soap and water

While not all labels are glued in place with the same substance, heating the label with a blow dryer before using another method is definitely worth a try.  It just may save you a bit of frustration and time.  And that’s always a good thing, right? –Enjoy!  Laura
