Allow me to introduce our new story.  Tracy and I are currently putting the finishing touches on  our holiday Dragon’s Bard Tale; St. Nicholas and the Dragon. Go here to purchase the book  .

This week I share with you my Fruitcake recipe for use with the Goody Mix.  Yes, it’s one of my deep dark secrets; Tracy and I both enjoy fruitcake.

It’s has an old-fashioned blend of tastes and textures that are unique in ‘Cakedom’.  There is the tartness of white raisins with the sweet and citrus flavor of candied fruit mix, as well as the crunch of the nuts and the sweet smoothness of dates and of course, the delight of candied cherries all bound together in a sweetly spiced batter.

I love to make this Fruitcake Recipe.  I bake it in 8 little mini-loaf pans. They are the perfect size for gifting.

Fruitcake takes a bit more time than most treats to make.  But of course the Goody Mix makes it easier and the whole house smells like Christmas while it is baking.
