Sugar Free Crock Pot Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 10 cups apples , sliced and peelled
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tblsp citric acid (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash, Peel and slice apples.
  • Soak them in a bowl of water containing the citric acid, if desired.
  • Place slices in crock pot.
  • Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 5-6 hours.
  • Allow apple mixture to cool and then blend till smooth in a food processor or blender.
  • Add sweetener and spices, if desired, before serving.

Notes

Sugar free applesauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 10 days or frozen for up to 6 months.
