Peanut Butter Fingers - Bars (Scratch)

- Bar base:
- 3/4 Cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
- Topping:
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups chocolate butter cream frosting
Heat oven to 325 degrees.
Grease a 9" x 9" square pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine butter and sugar, add egg, peanut butter, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Mix well.
Press into prepared pan.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and gently flatten bar base with a wooden spoon or spatula.
While still warm, spread with 1 cup peanut butter.
Allow to cool and then gently spread chocolate frosting on top.
Cut into 36 'fingers'.
